SECURELY COPY FILES FROM LINUX SERVER TO SERVER IN COMMNAD LINE

scp command is used to securely copy files from one linux server to another. scp stands for secure copy and its use ssh(secure socket shell) so the files is encrypted before it send to another server.

for example you have two server 168.192.0.7 and 168.192.0.8 and you want to transfer a file named “hadoop-core.xml”  from 168.192.0.7 Desktop  to 168.192.0.8 Desktop. Type the following commands in terminal

scp 168.192.0.7:root/Desktop/hadoop-core.xml 168.192.0.8:root/Desktop/
